Crackin Day

Well its been chuffin gloriarse here in Devon today lovely lovely sunshiney day. Have been outside all day after a good walk in the woods with Riley. A lot of gardening and a bit of time in the craft shed. Badges, fridge magnets and earrings. Test driving one of the new ice cube trays with some resin. Have also been reading Simply Crochet issue 5 in the sun, so much in it I want to make, not the beret though but the mother has said she could have one and also the tea cosy for the kitchen. Well you'd not want it for the bathroom would you! Not sure why anyone would put a scarf on their dog mind.

April

This morning Riley and I had a visit from Di from K9 Focus and her new pup Toby. He is only 16 weeks and as big as Riley!! He's the only survivor of a litter of pups that were thrown in a river, what I wouldn't like to do to the people that did that! I'm not in a position to take on a 2nd dog at the moment so I help this charity anyway I can, which is usually selling dog biscuits, collecting towels etc and making things for them to sell.

Have been making these fridge magnets
And these badges.

Also wondering what to do with the wool I got for easter and crocheting a triangular cushion.

Crochet

This is the mahoosive granny ripple blanket i have been doing for my friend who is due a baby in may. Its folded in half here as it didnt shrink like it was supposed too. Have been tempted to give it up and sell it as a 'bed scarf' but it may still be useful for her. However i have run out of the turquoisy blue just before the end of a row! As this blanket at times seemed to be going nowhere i also found this pattern on amazon for kindle and made her this, got a bit confusing converting us - uk terms
And also did her some beanies
Next trick is a triangle cushion from Simply Crochet mag.
And i've decided to crochet the arse ends of wool from projects into squares

  3. Have you met any celebrities? Shakin Stevens many moons ago, The Searchers :)

Sundays troll along the beach didnt kick up any decent driftwood but did get a few bits of sea glass, one day i will work out what to do with it all.

Anyhow what i meant to list on Etsy over the weekend has been listed this morning.

Magazine or ball of wool

Hurrarrrr to almost the end of another week. Have Ollie the collie as house guest until tomorrow afternoon. I do hope the neighbours decide soon if they will be moving to liverpool or not as i'd kind of like to know if and when Ollie will be mine.

Just read this blog http://accordingtomatt.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/striped-tunisian-cushion.html and have this on my long list of things to do.

Have discussed Easter with the mother and decided i would much rather have a ball of wool or a craft magazine instead of an easter egg, she has opted for a box of maltesers. Currently there are only about 10 storage boxes of wool in the house but can you walk past a shop selling them and £1 a ball.

Finished the 'recieving blanket' for my friend and am trying the baby shoes from the latest Simply Crochet mag. As mentioned in this blog

Still wondering about the non jewellery craft fair in june.......................

Monday 11 March 2013

brrrrrrr

Tis bit windy down here in Devon today, short snow flurry while riley and i were out this morning but i told it to "feck of snow, feck very off". So far it appears to have listened to me. Met a really lovely staffie girly beautiful grey colour that i believe is termed blue. Also our friends reggie the labrador and meag the springer where out. Wished i'd put my gloves on and didnt look like day release doris in a hat!

Yesterdays shed efforts are to be saved for the 'non jewellery' craft fair. Currently wondering what i could crochet to sell.

Finished off the blanket last night might now do a beanie to go with it and maybe the baby shoes from Simply Crochet mag.
